Course Dinner
Cuisine American
- 12 oz shaved beef
- Onion, sliced to taste
- Green bell pepper, sliced to taste
- A few dashes salt
- A few dashes steak seasoning
- A few splashes beef broth
- A few splashes A1 sauce
- 4 hoagie buns
- 2 TBSP butter, melted
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 1 jar Cheez Whiz
Brown your shaved beef.
Add sliced green bell pepper and onion to your cooked shaved beef and continue to cook on low. Add as much or as little green bell pepper and onion as you want.
Season beef and vegetable mixture with a few dashes of salt and steak seasoning.
Add in a few splashes of both beef broth and A1 sauce.
Let your beef and vegetable mixture simmer on low in those liquids while you work on preparing the hoagie buns.
Lightly brush melted butter on hoagie buns and place them in the oven at 350 for a few minutes until lightly toasted.
Once toasted, remove the hoagie buns from the oven and add sliced provolone cheese.
Broil on high a couple minutes to get that provolone cheese melted and gooey.
Remove hoagie buns from the oven and add your beef and vegetable mixture to your hoagie buns.
Top your Philly Cheesesteak with melted Cheez Whiz. Enjoy!
- When transferring your beef and veggie mixture to the hoagie buns, use tongs so the juice it has been simmering in drains off.
- Melt Cheez Whiz in a microwave-safe bowl before drizzling onto Philly Cheesesteaks.
- Buy fresh hoagie buns from the bakery section of your grocery store to make this taste even better.
- Add mushrooms if you like them.
- This recipe will yield 4 Philly Cheesesteaks.
