Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes
Thinly sliced potatoes in a deliciously creamy cheese sauce.

(approximately 7 medium)

milk

Salt

Black pepper

Garlic powder

oz (2 cups)
shredded cheddar cheese
divided
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350.
Peel and slice your potatoes into thin slices. Soak your potato slices in a bowl of cold salted water while you work on the cheese sauce.
In a saucepan add milk, flour, butter, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder and heat on low whisking continuously for 5-10 minutes.
Gradually add 4 oz (1 cup) shredded cheddar cheese and whisk until incorporated and sauce is smooth and creamy.
In a casserole dish, add your drained potato slices. Top with diced onion.
Pour cheese sauce over potatoes and onions.
Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake in the oven at 350 for one hour.
Remove baking dish from oven, remove aluminum foil, and add remaining shredded cheddar cheese. Broil on high for several minutes.
Remove from oven. Season individual servings with salt and black pepper to taste. Enjoy!
