Hot dogs and cheese wrapped in a crescent roll and brushed with seasoned melted butter. A ridiculously easy “recipe” that’s perfect to make with kids.
I made these with my mom growing up and now I get to make them with my daughter. I am passionate about letting kids assist in the kitchen but a lot of times that makes caregivers eyes twitch. My hope is that by me sharing a ridiculously easy “recipe” that you virtually cannot mess up, it will give someone the encouragement to let their child cook in the kitchen with them.
What You Will Need
Crescent rolls, cheese, hot dogs, butter, garlic powder, and parsley are the only ingredients you need for this simple recipe. You will need a baking sheet to bake this meal on.
Step By Step Instructions
This step by step is going to look a little different than my other posts as my daughter shows you how to make this.
First, preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Roll out one crescent roll.

Place a slice of cheese on the wide end of the crescent roll.

Place a hot dog on top of the cheese.

Roll up the crescent roll around the hot dog and cheese.

Add to a greased baking sheet. Repeat until all crescent rolls have been used.
Melt a few tablespoons of butter. Add garlic powder and dried parsley to the melted butter. Mix together. Use a silicone brush to brush the melted butter mixture on the dough of the crescent rolls.

Bake in the oven at 375 for 15-20 minutes, until the tops of the crescent rolls are golden brown.
Enjoy!
