Ham & Pea Pasta Salad

It tastes like summer time. Perfect for a BBQ and/or camping side dish. The red onion gives it a nice zing of flavor!

What You Will Need

Peas, elbow macaroni, Colby Jack cheese, red onion, ham, mayonnaise, and ranch seasoning are all you need for this simple side dish. You will need to cook the noodles, but otherwise you just need a large mixing bowl to stir everything together and stir.

And diced red onion.

Stir in mayonnaise and ranch seasoning. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Enjoy!

Tips & Advice

You are more than welcome to buy a chunk of Colby Jack cheese and cube it yourself, but I buy it already cubed because it makes life easier!

I am the only fan of onion in my household so I use about 1/4 of a red onion. Use as much or as little red onion as you would like!

Ingredients
  

  • 24 oz frozen peas thawed
  • 16 oz elbow macaroni
  • 6.4 oz Colby jack cheese cubes (1 package already cubed)
  • 1 red onion, diced (to taste)
  • 8 oz diced cooked ham (1 package)
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix

Instructions
 

  • Cook elbow macaroni according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed peas, elbow macaroni, Colby Jack cheese cubes, diced red onion and diced cooked ham.
  • Stir in the mayonnaise and ranch seasoning mix.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving. Enjoy!
