One of the fastest ways to get personal sized pizzas on the dinner table is to use bagels as the base.
What You Will Need
Bagels, butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and banana peppers are the only ingredients you need for this simple recipe. You will need a baking sheet to bake the pizza bagels on.
Step by Step Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place halved bagels on a greased baking sheet.
Brush seasoned melted butter onto bagels.
Pre-bake the bagels in the oven for 5 minutes at 350 degrees.
Remove the bagels from the oven and brush pizza sauce on the bagels.
Sprinkle on mozzarella cheese.
Top with pepperoni and banana peppers.
I like to sprinkle on a little bit more mozzarella cheese.
Bake the pizza bagels an additional 5 minutes in the oven at 350. Then, broil on high for a few minutes keeping a close eye on them. You want the cheese nice and melted but be careful not to burn them.
Serve and enjoy!
Tips & Advice
I chose to do pepperoni and banana peppers, but seriously add whatever toppings you want. I love making these because you can easily personalize them so your family doesn’t all have to eat the same kind. Hence why only half of these have banana peppers, ha!
Technically I used the seasoning pictured below. I was gifted it for Christmas and it’s perfect for these pizza bagels. Any form of Italian seasoning will be great!
Did you know they make squeezable pizza sauce? I didn’t until recently and it’s great for recipes like this.
I highly recommend shredding a block of cheese as opposed to buying pre-shredded cheese. This is a simple thing you can do to make this recipe taste even better!

Pizza Bagels
Ingredients
- 3 plain bagels *halved
- A few TBSP butter *melted
- A few dashes garlic powder *to taste
- A few dashes Italian seasoning *to taste
- 15 oz pizza sauce *to taste
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese *shredded
- 3 oz pepperoni *to taste
- A few banana pepper rings *to taste
