Spiralized and deep fried potatoes smothered in white cheese dip, bacon, sour cream, and green onions. It tastes like the county fair.
What You Will Need
Russet potatoes and whatever toppings you want are the only ingredients you need for this simple recipe! For this post, I am going to top the fried potatoes with my special white cheese dip, cooked and crumbled bacon, sour cream, and green onions. You will need vegetable oil and a deep fryer to fry the potatoes.
Step By Step Instructions
Add vegetable oil to a deep fryer and preheat according to deep fryer instructions. Wash potatoes. Use a spiralizer with a ribbon blade to cut potatoes. Here is a link to the spiralizer that I used.

Fry potatoes. For my deep fryer, I fried the potatoes at 375 for 5 minutes, flipping and stirring a couple times. Read your deep fryer instructions and use your best judgement.

Add fried potatoes to a plate and top with desired toppings.

I added prepared white cheese dip.

Followed by cooked and crumbled bacon.

Drizzled on sour cream.

And topped with chopped green onions.

Serve and enjoy!
Tips & Advice
I have not tried using an air fryer for this recipe but theoretically an air fryer would work as well for frying the potatoes.
I cook my bacon in the oven while I am preparing everything else. Cooking bacon in the oven is just easier and less messy to me! I cook it at 400 degrees and check on it every 5 minutes or so until it’s the crispiness I want.
After I spiralize my potatoes, I rinse them and then gently pat dry with a paper towel. This helps prevent as big of a mess when I go to fry the potatoes (it helps reduce the amount of bubbles and splatter).
I would plan on about 2 potatoes per person you are serving.
